Røros søndag !

Alarm clock for an early sunday morning, and for once we were on time. And we even saved some extra minutes to remember those nice hytta for next time:

And then real activities started :-)

Once our 5 dogs (each) were harnessed (from the 60 that were hoping to be part of the trip), it was time to follow the dogs ... whatever happens!

Flat portions were easy and fast, uphill was sometimes exhausting in case of running to help the dogs ...

... and dowhill was just crazy, flying over bumps, and trying to stand on the sledge in the meantime :-)

Not to mention different snow qualities, from packed and (very) fast, to deep power and very slow (for dogs).

Of course the landscape was typically Norwegian, and the loop went up to a summit, on a pure moment of wilderness. North Pole would not have been different I guess, except maybe colder ... After so much white, the green/grey/brown trees brought some vegetal life to our eyes, on a crazily steep downhill part ...

And after 15 kms and 2h running standing, we obtained a very Norwegian break, made out of some pieces of wood ... that's so simple !

Some precious time to eat and chat about sledgedog races, and above all the longuest one in Alaska: 1800 kms, and we went back to our dogs, that were having a nap (but no food!).

1 hour or so more, and we arrive back, maybe more tired than our dogs ... Our traditionnal sledges:

... and one used in competition :-)

Time to say goodbye :-)

Very interesting and physical activity!
