Lac Saint Jean

Nuit pas trop mauvaise dans l'ensemble, le train aura sifflé 2 fois, ce qui nous aura permis de réalimenter le feu... Notre tee-pee de jour (vous pouvez voir les caténaires juste derrière!): Un petit tour par un des parcs de La Tuque, surement très agréable...

Fjord/Glacier road trip

The way back from the wedding was eventually quite adventurous, and we finally ended up with a 800 km driving week end :-) Driving along Lamsvatnet, heading for Lom: A bit further :-) And real things started immediately when turning left towards Stryn,...

Hurtigruten ... on the way (# day 2)

From our cabin, sunrise: Hammerfest, first stop, 5 o'clock: Awesome place, protected from chilly winds and ... avalanches (!): That probably helped to feel the special atmosphere: "city center" ... ... and suburbs: About 4 hours later, next stop: Havøysund...

Dag 13 : Agskardet - Sia

Our objective for the second day! -21°c to start on the shadow ... gives a huge motivation to climb fast until the sun :-) Cross-country tracks ... ? Too easy ;-) Let's just climb the mountain! Short break to learn the compression test ... with a 1,60...

Oslo, wood & snow

Langrenn i Bymarka !

Sunny saturday means "skitur" for all Norwegian people. Well, our group was mostly French, but it worked as well ;-) Bymarka tracks were our own highways ... except when we headed into the wild: Transhumance on the lake: ... and peaceful landscape everywhere...

Swedish skidag

Departure 6 am ... hard fight ... Sailing among stars for 3 hours, and eventually reaching the swedish sun...rise. Sunny skiday, but strong contrasts : -18°c below inversion, -11°c at the inversion limit, +1°c above ... We tried to stick to the top, but...
