Swedish skidag

Departure 6 am ... hard fight ... Sailing among stars for 3 hours, and eventually reaching the swedish sun...rise. Sunny skiday, but strong contrasts : -18°c below inversion, -11°c at the inversion limit, +1°c above ... We tried to stick to the top, but...

White trees ...

... due to this foggy milder weather. Only -15°c today ... On our way back home (in case of frozen car): And we're not afraid of ghosts :-)

Global warming

Yeps. It has been only -15° this week-end. Not enough to get rid of the snow, still. We'll have to deal with it ;-) Apart from that, Trondheim was still frozen: ... and sunny: Quite an exotic winter then ...

Litt kald

For those who are wondering, yes, it's cold as well in Norway. copyright adressa.no This morning was about -23°c, our personal record so far ;-) Today was reported the coldest day in January in Trondheim for 50 years, but it is still pretty mild compared...

... what can you do? Walking? Meeting future Christmas trees? Jumping? ... safer: watching jumpers? or ... skiing at sunset! (on a lake ... for more fun) Answer: same activities as usually :-)

Nyttårsdag

Remember, 2009 ended that way: And, some hours later ... ... 2010 appeared. Believe me, having a stroll along the fjord, with pure fresh air ... ... was a perfect start :-) All the best for 2010!

New year's eve - part 2

We finally arrived just in time to cook and drink champagne ... and enjoy this nice Norwegian tradition of fireworks. Our neighborough is on fire :-) Again and again ... for about 50 minutes. Enough to need more champagne to warm up a bit ;-) ... and...

New year's eve - part 1

A la base on était parties pour un cabin trip classique, comme ça: ... après 2h de route gelée, propre à parfaire l'échauffement physique et mental :-) Le programme était simplissime: skier 2h dans la poudreuse très douce, trouver la cabine, manger toutes...

Norwegian postcard ...

Correspondances correctes, pas de grèves, et beaucoup de neige au retour, mais on avait un pilote norvégien ;-) Après avoir fait nos traces sur la piste d'atterrissage, il a donc fallu les faire sur la piste cyclable qui mène de l'arrêt de bus à chez...
