Oslo week-end, dag #2
Unsurprisingly, Oslo was much quieter on sunday morning ...
Well, except for the lions of course ...
Some kind of "mediterranean" atmosphere, in accordance with the sunny weather:
And we started the real visit by the fortress, almost in the middle of the city:
and actually so close that you can catch a glimpse of the harbour, sometimes ...
To really enjoy the view, some (soft) rock-climbing, and here we are: Aker Brygge is just in front!
On the other side ... a HUGE cruise boat:
Speaking of boats, we took one just after. A bit smaller, as it happens to be part of the bus network. We wanted to go to Brygdøy, the island of many museums ... Some bus stops on the island ;-)
And the museum we aimed to was:
... the polar explorer ship "Fram", which was used by both Nansen and Amundsen, respectively for the North Pole and the South Pole explorations. Very interesting of course :-)
After this exciting visit, we needed to relax a bit, waiting for our bus back ...
And wandering around Aker Brygge once more, for some ice-cream reasons ...
Almost alive sculptures ...
With our full stomachs, we had enough energy to walk until the brand new (and white) opera:
Inside textures:
Wood !
And yes, you can walk on the roof ! So you can feel so little ...
... or like a giant :-)
Here, even the islands are "design":
We had to finish this (very warm) week-end by a refreshing walk in the Vigeland Park:
Oslo, so south of Norway !
